The Mac app puts the same timer in your menu bar, with the running time beside your clock. It runs on macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
Install it
- Download Involets.dmg from the Mac app page, or from your picture → Download for Mac on the desk.
- Open it and drag Involets onto the Applications folder beside it.
- Open Involets from Applications. Its mark appears in the menu bar.
Connect it
Click the mark and press Connect. Your browser opens your desk, which hands the Mac the session you already have, so there is no password to type. If you are not signed in to the desk, sign in there first.
Use it
- Click the mark for the panel: the week, the day's entries, play to pick one up again and stop to end it. It is the same panel as the Chrome extension's.
- Press Add time to start a timer or file time you have already worked. Leave the time empty to start the clock.
- Right-click the mark to see today's projects and switch between them.
- Choose Keep the panel open from your name in the panel to keep it in a small window above your work.
- If your Mac sat idle or locked while the clock ran, the panel asks whether to keep that time or stop the clock when you left.
Settings
Choose Settings from your name in the panel. You can open Involets at login, hide it from the Dock, start and stop the timer with Option + Shift + T from any app, and choose whether the running time shows in the menu bar. Disconnect signs this Mac out.
Personal or a team
If you are in a team, a switcher sits under the head: choose Personal or a team, and the panel shows that space's projects and your time in it. A timer still running in another space says so there, and Stop still reaches it.
Install apps from the App Store
Find, install, open and remove the add-on apps and their widgets.
Install and use the Chrome extension
Put the timer in your toolbar, connect it to your desk, and start it with a shortcut.
