Bill every hour you consult
Track billable and non-billable time across clients, bill by the hour or a fixed fee, and send invoices with your tax, terms and payment details. Free for independents; $6 a month when you work as a team.
Billable and non-billable
Mark each entry billable or not. Only billable hours reach an invoice, and the day shows both.
Rates per project
Each project carries its own hourly rate or fixed fee, so a day rate client and a retainer sit side by side.
Tax, terms and numbering
Your tax name and rate, payment terms and invoice prefix, applied to every invoice. Due dates and overdue invoices take care of themselves.
Your records, exportable
Export time entries, invoices, projects and clients as CSV whenever your accountant asks for them.
Time on the right day, always
Every entry has a date. Hours added on Thursday for Tuesday stay on Tuesday, in the timesheet, the weekly totals and on the invoice line, which matters when a client checks the dates.
Roll back a mistake
An invoice issued too early can be rolled back: its hours return to unbilled and you make a corrected one from them, without editing a sent document.
When you work with associates
Consulting with associates? The Team plan gives you a shared space for up to 30 people, owners on every engagement and invoices from the whole team’s hours, for $6 a month in all.
- Unlimited projects and invoices
- Branded PDF invoices
- Chrome extension and Mac app
- All thirty App Store apps
Where to go from here
For consultants: what people ask
Can I bill a fixed fee instead of hours?
Yes. Make the project fixed price and invoice it in parts; the project keeps track of what is left. See Create a project.
Can I round time to 15 minutes?
Yes, optionally, when the desk timer stops. Time you type yourself is never rounded. See Billable time and rounding.
Is my client data private?
Yes. Involets shows no ads and sells nothing, and staff cannot read your work. Two-factor sign-in is one switch in Settings. See Security and privacy.
Also for freelancers and small agencies and studios.
Start with the timer. The invoice follows.
Make an account, start the clock, and send your first invoice when the work is done. Free for personal use; bring your team in when you are ready.
