- Open Projects and press New project.
- Give it a name and, if you know it, a client. A project can exist without one, but you will need one to invoice it.
- Pick a folder colour. There are twenty.
- Choose how it bills.
Hourly or fixed price
- Hourly bills tracked time at a rate. Set the hourly rate, track time against the project, and invoice the hours.
- Fixed price bills against a total project value. You do not track time against it; you invoice amounts until the value is used up.
A project's page shows what is unbilled on an hourly project, or what remains on a fixed-price one, with Create invoice beside it.
Start from an existing project
On a project's page, Duplicate makes a copy to change, which is quicker than starting again for similar work.
