Two-factor sign-in asks for a code from an authenticator app, such as 1Password, Google Authenticator or Authy, as well as your password.
Set it up
- Go to Settings → Account and find Authenticator app under Security. Press Set it up.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app. If you cannot scan, type the Setup key into the app instead.
- Enter the six-digit code the app shows.
- Save your ten recovery codes. Download keeps them as a text file. Then press I have kept them.
Involets emails you whenever two-factor is turned on or off.
When you are asked for a code
- Signing in on a device that has not passed a code in the last 30 days.
- Signing in from a country your account has not been used in for 90 days.
- Changing your password or email address.
Lost your phone?
Use a recovery code where the code from the app would go. Each one works once. Once you are in, New codes makes a fresh set and retires the old ones.
Turn it off
Press Turn it off in the same place and confirm.
