Install and use the Chrome extension

The extension puts the same timer in your browser toolbar. It works in Chrome, Edge and Brave, and it never reads the pages you visit.

Install it

Involets is not on the Chrome Web Store yet, so the extension installs from a folder, which Chrome calls unpacked.

1. Download it from the extension page and unzip the file.
2. Open chrome://extensions and turn on Developer mode.
3. Press Load unpacked and choose the unzipped folder.
4. Pin Involets to the toolbar from the puzzle-piece menu.

Connect it

Open the extension and either sign in with your email and password, or press Connect to use the desk you are already signed in to. Connecting opens a page on involets.com that hands the extension a one-time code, which works for five minutes.

Use it

• Start, stop, resume, edit and add time from the popup.
• The toolbar icon shows the running time.
• Alt + Shift + T starts or stops the timer from any tab.
• If you lose your connection, what you do is kept and sent when it returns.

An installed copy updates when you reload it at chrome://extensions.
